This past weekend was SO much fun. I flew out to Chicago to celebrate my best friend Elizabeth's birthday. In college, Elizabeth, myself, and two of our other best friends Celia and Coco all lived together. The four of us are so close but have not all been together since before I moved, so the weekend was extra special and exciting. We had such a great time, and I want to do a full recap of what we did, where we stayed, what we wore, and all of the things to answer any questions you might have, as well as for my own memory!

Spring Weekend with Joe Recap
4/12/22My boyfriend Joe visited me here in NYC this weekend and we had such a lovely time. It was a casual little weekend, which was a nice change of pace considering we usually have extravagant plans whenever he is in town. We only made a couple of reservations ahead of time and then mostly just hung out, walked around, and explored. Here's a recap of what we did!
This summer has been pretty fun so far, even though half the time it feels like I haven't done anything except go to my internship and hang out at home. This weekend I didn't have any plans and then spontaneously did a lot of different things that turned out to be so much fun! My weekends start on Thursdays at 3, so I love squeezing in a lot of things throughout my long weekend. Between dinner with friends on Thursday and Friday, and brunch on Sunday I am definitely ready to get back on track this week.

6/15/181. Happy Friday! This weekend for Father's Day my grandparents are in town and I'm excited to repaint my desk with my grandpa, spend time hanging out with my grandma, and just enjoy their presence. I love my grandparents and feel so lucky not only to have time to spend with them, but to have such a great relationship with them.
2. This week on the blog I shared...
--where you can shop my outfits from Insta Stories (lots of internship outfit ideas!)
I love that I've had more posts up lately and hope you're enjoying the content! As always, if you have any suggestions or ideas of posts you want to see, I'm all ears!
3. Three summer candles I must try:
Jonathon Adler's Sea Salt
Henri Bendel's Garden Party
Lafco's French Lilac Poolhouse

1. I am heading to Minnesota for the first time this weekend! I'm going out to surprise my friend for her birthday and I'm so excited to both visit a new place and surprise her (a high school friend!) with a few of my other best friends from high school.

2. I shot photos on Wednesday night with my co-intern Koryn, who has her own photography company. I love how the photos turned out and definitely recommend her if you need a photographer in the Milwaukee area.
3. This week on the blog I shared my summer bucket list and Father's Day gift guide!

2. I shared my guide for what to wear to summer internship on the blog yesterday. This post was highly requested, so I hope you found it useful!
3. I started Commonwealth by Ann Patchett yesterday. You can keep up with what I'm reading by following my Goodreads here.

5/4/181. Happy last Friday of my sophomore year of college!!! HOW has this semester flown by so fast? I know I keep saying it, but I really am in awe that I start summer on Monday. Just three exams stand between me and the end of my first half of college. Wowwwwww...
2. That said, I'll be spending all weekend in the library, wearing this, and never ever taking it off. #obsessed
3. I don't read my horoscope often, but I randomly checked it a few days this week and it was so spot on with how I've been feeling lately. I use this website to check if you're interested in checking yours too! What's your zodiac sign? Does it suit you? I'm a Leo and it couldn't fit me more perfectly!

1/19/181. It's hard to believe it's my last weekend of winter break and come Monday I'll be back at school to start my second semester at Wisconsin!
2. I have been living in these slippers at home. To see the rest of What I got for Christmas, click here for the video and blog post!
3. I have been trying to work out and eat healthy lately as a part of my 2018 goals, but one part I'm slacking on is the reading. What's one book I need to get my hands on? I need recommendations!
Heading back to school on Sunday means I'm packing in as much as I can to wrap up my month long winter break away from school. A lot of my friends have already gone back to school, so I went down to Chicago this weekend to see my brother and visit my best friend Lauren (same as New Years!). We had the most fun long weekend, and I'm excited to share it with all of you!

1/12/181. This is the first TWT10 of 2018! Although it's technically the second weekend of the New Year, I can't even remember what I did last weekend (because I was supposed to be in NYC but that didn't happen due to the weather, it's fine, I'm over it ;) so this is just the first in my mind.
2. I'm heading to Chicago this weekend to visit a friend because a ton of my friends from home have already gone back to school and I want to do something fun before I head back myself next weekend. How has it already been a month?
3. A new video is coming to the blog on Monday and I can't wait to share! I'm sorry for the delay-- I've been having excessive technical difficulties, but I promise I am working on it.

11/10/171. Happy Friday! Not much is going on here this weekend. The Iowa vs Wisconsin football game is tomorrow, but I'm feeling so unprepared for a game day in 30 degree weather!! Last weekend I ended up spontaneously heading down to Chicago and I had just the best time (as always).
2. I am so excited that I kicked off some holiday posts this week. In case you missed it, I shared gift guidea for the traveler, the adventurer, and the hostess, as well as a Thanksgiving Outfit Guide. What was your favorite? Not holiday related, but I also shared links to shop my Insta Stories in this blog post too.
3. My holiday shop is finally live! I am dying to smell this scent!! The bottle is gorgeous and the notes of tuberose and jasmine are right up my ally. I need to get myself into a Nordstrom over Thanksgiving break so I can see if it's worthy of going on my Christmas list :)

11/3/171. Happy Friday! For the first time in over a month between visitors, midterms, and heading home/to Chicago last weekend, I have nothing on my calendar. It's not even a game day! Both of my roommates are leaving though, and I'm not sure how I feel about being all alone for a weekend...
2. Thank you to everyone who was so kind about my experience with withdrawing from my sorority. In case you missed the post, you can read what happened here.
3. Also on the blog this week: an outfit post featuring my favorite new cold weather accessory, and my winter coat lust list.

1. I can't believe we actually made it to Friday afternoon. This week has felt like one of the longest, with a new stressor seeming to pop up every day. Having two midterms on Tuesday meant my entire weekend was basically spent in the library (with the exception of going out to tailgate for game day on Saturday for literally only two hours) and then a paper on Wednesday and another exam just a two hours ago really had me exhausted. Not to mention there were plenty of non-academic complications that just had to occur this week, but suffice it to say that I am quite excited to head home for the weekend this afternoon.
2. This is the first time I'm heading home since being at school this year, and I am really impressed with my ability to hold out until now. Last year, despite my school being two plane rides away (and this year being just over an hour drive), I was desperate to go home all of the time and went home for the first time mid-October. I guess it's different this year not only because I like my school more, but because a lot of my favorite people have visited me already. Nonetheless, I think this is a true expression of how much more I am loving life at college this year. (Shameless plug to watch my transfer experience vlog ;)
3. This is the first week that it's been seriously cold out (in the 30's today), so my Barbour jacket has been my best friend for the last few days.
Weekend Recap
10/9/17
Happy Monday! Thanks to everyone who voted in my poll on Insta stories last night- weekend recap won for today's post! Don't worry, an outfit will be coming soon. I had the best weekend showing Caroline around my new school and getting to see her, so I'm glad you all wanted me to recap the fun! Little visits with friends, no matter how short, really make college feel more like home. Caroline, my roommate Elizabeth, and I all had so much fun dining, shopping, and exploring downtown Madison. Here's what we were up to:

1. Happy Friday! Sorry this post is going up a few hours later than usual, but as I write this I am enjoying the Starbuck's pumpkin muffin- so good!! I don't usually go for their holiday drinks, or even their bakery (it's not the healthiest at all) but I wanted to treat myself because it's Friday and it is so delicious! Everything in moderation!!
2. Currently in the process of deciding what to be for Halloween, but I already know I have to have this and incorporate it into at least one of my costumes for "halloweek." Do you guys have any ideas of what you want to dress up as? Maybe I'll come up with some fun ideas and do a post to inspire!!!
3. In case you haven't heard (you definitely have though), Shopbop is have a major sitewide sale and I think I need these jeans. Now is perfect time to purchase because so many brands you can never find for sale are at least 20% off.
Weekend Recap
6/26/17Life Update
5/21/17
It's been a whirlwind week since I've been home from school. In reality I haven't done much, but in principle I have had so much on my plate and my stress level hasn't seemed to go down at all! Let me fill you all in. It's been a while since I've posted... sorry for the unexpected break!
I had originally planned to spend the two weeks leading up to Memorial Day after finals in Long Island and the Hamptons with my family, but plans fell through and I ended up booking a last-minute second flight home just about a week before finals. I flew home about a week ago (Monday the 15th) and decided to use the opportunity to surprise Jack for his birthday the next day, Tuesday the 16th. Because of the surprise, I was super vague on social media and the blog. Sorry about that!

All day Tuesday I was so excited about surprising Jack that I couldn't even do anything. I didn't want to leave my house because I was so paranoid that someone would see me somewhere and just somehow I would ruin the surprise (overdramatic, I know). But...
Weekend Recap
4/20/17
Hi everyone! I am happy to say that I handed in my research paper, took a test, and finished a few other assignments just yesterday. I thought I would finally feel like I had a little bit more time on my hands, but of course, with there being less than four weeks left of school, things are just go-go-go. Next Wednesday I have another exam, tonight I am photographing an event at school for almost five hours... the list never ends!
But, I still wanted to sit down and take time to share my Easter weekend recap, because I love doing these kinds of posts, and I hate going a whole week without new content on the blog! So without further adieu, let's get into it!
