Our Springy Living Room Refresh (New Art!)

Fran Acciardo Springy Living Room Refresh (New Art!)

I'm so excited to deep dive into our living room refresh today! We left off in April with the story of our new couch, and a springy moodboard for our space. Since then, we've gotten art, throw pillows, and a fabulous antique side table that have transformed the room. Things have finally started to come together and I am so happy with how our living room is turning out!

Spring Home Refresh: The Story of Our New Couch

Fran Acciardo Spring Home Refresh Moodboard

Happy Sunday!! It finally feels like spring here in NYC and it has me absolutely craving a complete refresh, both for my closet and our apartment. There's just something about the fresh air, wardrobe turnover, blooming flowers, and the energy of a new season that sparks something inside of me every year. To add to the motivation, I'm thrilled to share that I'll be featured on a very exciting home channel next month (stay tuned!), which has sent me straight into decorating mode.

Spring Home Decor Finds

I am heading back to NYC tonight and honestly, I'm mainly looking forward to hanging the art that arrived just before I left town a week and a half ago! Something about spring just makes me so excited to decorate. I am looking forward to hanging art and sprucing up my space once and for all in the coming weeks. That said, I've rounded up some pretty home pieces for spring here, I hope you love them as much as I do!

Fun Home Decor Finds

Can you believe I've lived in NYC for almost a full year?! The time has truly flown by. I am SO excited to share that a couple of months ago I was able to renew my lease and I'll be staying in my apartment for another year. I am absolutely thrilled because I love my apartment, and it's truly an amazing deal for what it is (wonderful location, natural light, dishwasher, decent size for an NYC apartment, molding on the walls lol). Rent prices are crazy in the city right now, and I feel grateful that my rent, which was already a great deal because I moved during Covid, was raised only 10%. I was honestly so worried it would be raised up to the pre-pandemic price, which was like $1200 more than my current monthly rent. Thankfully, that did not happen, and I am thrilled to be staying in my apartment for another year.

13 Table Lamps I'm Loving

I'm finally starting to get back into the mindset of making apartment decor progress. When I moved in April, I was so overwhelmed with making a bunch of big-ticket purchases and just getting the basics into my apartment, and then I was out of town so much in July I just didn't really realize that my goals for my apartment had been put on the back burner and there are so many ideas that I have to make this space great and feel more complete! I am mostly just looking for art and decor, which is the fun part.

Neutral Home Inspiration

Helloooo! Today I am sharing another random home decor mood board! Creating these interior boards has become my new favorite hobby because it's a nice way to put some of my apartment ideas together and envision how I might want to decorate my (tiny) NYC apartment in a couple of months. This one feels really calm and clean, and I just love a neutral palette.

Winter Bedroom Inspo

Happy Monday! I am grateful to have the day off work today for MLK day! While this post is completely unrelated to the efforts and campaigns of Martin Luther King Jr., I am grateful my company acknowledges and celebrates his life and achievements today. Without further adieu, I am excited to share a little bedroom inspiration today... after last week's episode of Golden Hour where we chatted about how I make my mood boards, I was inspired to create a serene bedroom. This one gives me Lincoln Park townhouse X Kourtney Kardashian vibes.

The Best Dorm/Apartment purchases I Made in College...

It's crazy to me that I'm not heading back to school in a couple of weeks! Although I can't move at the end of this month as planned, I am still looking forward to the day I finally get to decorate my apartment. However, until I am able to sign a lease, I have no idea how much stuff I'll actually need for my new space, or the vibe I'll want to go for! So, today I thought it would be kind of fun to share the best purchases I made for my dorm and apartments in college for anyone heading back to school this season!

My Senior Year of College Room Tour

Ah, leave it to me to wait until I'm moving out of my apartment to finally share some photos of my room! I can't believe college is actually over and my next move is to NYC into a "real" adult apartment. Better late than never, though, right? I'm excited to share my full senior year of college room tour with you guys today!

Small Space Decor: More Apartment Ideas

New quarantine activity alert! I've become addicted to watching YouTube videos of people apartment hunting in Manhattan and "shopping around" on Street Easy for apartments. It's not only entertaining, but it helps me get an idea of what I'm getting myself into when I move. I haven't heard any updates on my job (yet), so I am still planning on signing a lease in NYC around the first of September... of course, that could change at any moment, but that's the plan for now. Because this is my first job and apartment, I know I won't be living anywhere fancy, but I'm getting so excited about the impending move!

Serena & Lily For Less

As someone who loves well-decorated, aesthetically pleasing interiors, of course, I love Serena and Lily! I mean, who doesn't?! All of the bright white pieces, rattan accessories, and notes of blue are exactly my aesthetic, and I could swoon over their website for hours on end (which, I do, quite often...). However, graduating college and heading into my first post-grad job has me shopping at quite a smaller price point, so I thought it would be fun to share similar pieces of those that I love at a fraction of the price!

Nancy Myers Interior Inspiration (Recreate it Under $200!)

all photos in this post via Coco's Tea Party

It feels like everyone on Instagram is talking about Nancy Meyers' movies, so yesterday morning, I decided to put on Home Again while I was doing some blogging. I am seriously not a movie person, but this was so cute. Can Reese Witherspoon do anything wrong?! I especially loved the interior design inspiration. The home is set in LA, and I absolutely loved the casual, coastal design, combined with fun pops of color!

I was so inspired by the decor that I decided to round up a ton of pieces to recreate the look, and everything is under $200! The whole house is full of candles, fresh flowers, books, trays, rattan and wooden pieces, and pops of warm, bright colors.

Bar Cart Inspiration

After sharing my Quarantine Cocktail Menu and some apartment inspiration, I have to talk a little bit about my own favorite drinks and, of course, share some bar cart decor. I have a lot of favorite drinks, and a very strong desire to have a cute bar cart in my apartment next year to enjoy them!

Small Space Decor: My Future Apartment

never not inspired by Amy Stone's apartment tour

Welcome to another installment of my favorite series, Small Space Decor! Since being stuck at home, I've been thinking a lot about what my ideal quarantine space would look like. Fortunately, I can channel this inspiration into planning a bit for my future apartment! My start date isn't until September, so my fingers are crossed that I can still move to NYC as planned. I am feeling incredibly grateful to have secured a post-grad job, as I can't begin to imagine how stressful it must be for fellow college seniors who are in the middle of the job-hunting process. (if that is you, check out my interview tips blog post here!).

November Home Decor

Happy Friday everyone! Last night I popped into Anthropologie because I had to take a quick trip to the mall in Madison to return something. While in the store I was reminded how fabulous Anthro home decor pieces are, especially during the fall and winter seasons. Being in the store definitely inspired me to search for some holiday decor pieces to share with all of you. I mean... the delectable candles, cozy throws, and little accessories everywhere were really too fabulous not to share. While I definitely plan to do a few gift guides for the hostess, maybe even the home, and for moms/aunts/etc in the coming weeks, I wanted to share a little roundup right now if you're looking to spruce up your space for the holidays around the corner!

Senior Year Apartment: Before Photos + Plans

Some of my favorite posts I've written the last couple of summers have been a part of the Small Space Decor series that I began when I started college. From dorm decorating to moving into off-campus apartments with roommates, I've been styling my own small spaces for three years now and it's seriously one of my favorite things to do. At this point I've cultivated a nice little collection of decor pieces that have worked well in my different small spaces, but with my particular layout this year there are a few more purchases I'd like to make. Of course I am not going to stray far from my blue-and-white/gold theme...

Junior Year Apartment Room Tour

Hello! I went to write a decor blog post yesterday when I realized I never shared an official room tour from my apartment this year!!! After sharing a couple decorating posts last summer (here and here specifically) and putting a lot of planning and energy into decorating, I can't believe I never got around to putting this post together! Without further adieu, here is my apartment room tour from this year... better late than never, right?!

Decor Finds Under $100!

Hi everyone! I hope your week is off to a good start! I unfortunately didn't plan a ton of content for this week, but I hate being so quiet on here so I thought I'd just pop on and share some recent decor finds. If you've been keeping up around here recently, decorating my new apartment has been top of mind for me, and I've been shopping around trying to find the best affordable decor pieces.

Small Space Decor (Part IV)

This Friday I am heading back to Madison to move into my new apartment! I'm not actually staying at school for good, just moving things in, but it's hard to believe it's already this time of the year again. This past weekend my mom and I sent my brother off to the airport for his semester abroad, and by the end of August I, too, will be back at school.

Coffee Table Books

Whenever I'm bored or in need of a little inspiration, nothing is more aesthetically pleasing than flipping through a gorgeous coffee table book and drooling over all of the pages. As I prepare to move into my apartment in a few weeks, I've been finding myself peeking at a ton of coffee table books lately to personalize our new space and add a pretty element of decor. What is your favorite coffee table book? Shop below!
