Highlights of 2018

Happy New Year's Eve! Today I wanted to share a quick highlight reel of my year, month by month. This year was full of fun trips, spontaneous adventures, so many highs, and as always, a few lows. Overall it was a year full of the unexpected, with amazing memories along the way, and I can't wait to see what is in store for 2019.

In January I visited my best friend in Chicago, attempted a pink theme on Instagram, got my hair highlighted for the first time, and kicked off my spring semester of my sophomore year of college. I shared my January favorites in this post.

The highlight of my February was heading to New York for a weekend with my best friend, Lauren. We had an amazing, eventful weekend that inspired our trip to London for spring break.

Honorable mention: I went to an 80s in Aspen themed party at school at the end of February that remains one of the most memorable of spring semester.

Spring break in London was fabulous. You can find the recaps here and here! I shared my mid-March favorites in this post, and wrote a heartfelt post about how happy I was here.

April started off in London, finishing off our spring break a few days into the month. Also in April I shared my apartment room tour in partnership with PBTeen, which was a really cool opportunity. I shared my April favorites in this post.

In May I finished second semester strong, in a really, really good spot after my first official year at Wisconsin. I started my internship, hung out a lot with friends from home, and kicked off the summer!

June was a busy month with my internship being kind of not-great (ha) and fitting in a few spontaneous trips! My roommates and I randomly went to Chicago for a day, and my high school friends and I also road tripped to Minnesota to surprise one our friends for her birthday! I shared my June favorites in this post.

Nothing monumental really happened in July. At the end of the month I went to St. Louis with my family for a big party with my mom's side of the family, and I spent a lot of the month hanging out with my brother before he went abroad. It was a pretty chill month and an overall lowkey summer. I shared my July favorites in this post.

August was quite a step up from July! I had a busy month with The Zac Brown Band concert and a few trips. The concert was amazing, my trip to Palm Beach was nothing short of fabulous (recaps here and here), and heading to New York and Lehigh right before school were so fun as well. I feel so lucky to consistently travel and experience so many new and exciting things, and I am so excited for the trips I have planned for 2019!!!

Enough said here ^

October was fun. Like, one of the best months of my life hahaha. I shared my October favorites in this post. I am so grateful I got to work with MLB and head to one of the Brewer's postseason games! I also shared one of my Halloween costumes in this post.

November was busy with more midterms and wrapping up schoolwork for the semester, but I had fun nonetheless and ventured to Boston for Thanksgiving.

Aw, December! This month was a DOOZY. Hahah. Honestly, this last month wasn't great. After an amazing semester and a pretty great year overall, this month was just stressful and overwhelming. I can't complain about a lovely Christmas, seeing my extended family, and hosting my annual cookie exchange party, but I am definitely ready for the New Year.

2018 was fun. So. Much. Fun. I feel like I just keep saying that, but that's really how'd I describe this year. I'm so lucky and grateful and fortunate and appreciative, and everything else that words can't describe. I'm in such a happy place in my life, and I'm so excited for more adventures to come. As I said in yesterday's reflection, THANK YOU to each of you for following along. It means the world!!!
