Highlights of 2017

Today's post is a little happier than yesterday's! I always want to be honest and open with you guys, and I am so lucky I get to show you both the fun and the not-so-fun parts of my life and you're always so kind about everything. I am really so grateful for your love!! Today I am sharing the top moments from each month of 2017, because I have been doing my yearly recaps in a similar format for a couple of years now and I just love how it lets me reflect on the year and kind of organize my memories in a way.

-I saw the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan with my best friend from Lehigh!

-Jack visited me at Lehigh and then we went to New York for the rest of the weekend (to the top of the Empire State building!). This was also the same week as big/little reveal for Alpha Phi, when I found out about my big and my twin!! (that whole weekend recap post here)

-I went to Miami with one of my best friend's for spring break.

-I went to New York for the weekend to celebrate Easter with my family. We did tea at the plaza and I also got to see Sloane over lunch!

-I came home from Lehigh on Jack's birthday and surprised him!

-I started my internship at my high school and built their brand new website throughout the whole summer... an incredible and valuable experience.

-I was accepted to University of Wisconsin and I decided to transfer.

-I had a really underwhelming summer to be completely honest! I was working full time, but occasionally went out to the lake on weekends, and did other fun "little summer things" throughout the season. It was really relaxing. I went to New York at the very end of July.

-I was in New York at the end of July/beginning of August and saw the Kings of Leon concert on August 1st with the same friend who I saw the Chili Peppers with in February. (New York recap part one here and part two here.)

-We went to the Polo Bar for my dad's birthday the next day, and it quickly became one of my favorite restaurants.

-I turned 19.

-I went to Chicago to celebrate my brother's 21st birthday with him and my dad. We sat in the first row at the Cubs game!

-It stayed super warm all through the fall and we got to spend time at the pool on the roof of our apartment.

-Game days, game days, and more game days.

-Caroline visited me at school! So did Jack, my mom (who threw us a huge tailgate), and one of my best friend's from high school.

-I went home for the first time in the semester, and then to Chicago for Halloween.

-I went to Chicago again spontaneously for a weekend and brunched way too much.

-I went to St. Louis to celebrate Thanksgiving with my mom's side of the family.

-I wrapped up my first semester at UW, ate way too much peppermint bark, and went to Dallas for Christmas!

What were the highlights from your year?
