June Favorites

Hellooooo and happy July! June went by quickly as expected, but I had a really fun month between visiting Minnesota for the first time, taking a spontaneous trip to Chicago with my best friends, blogging and Instagramming a lot more, and overall staying busy with my internship and even babysitting a little at the end of the month. Fun fact: I published more blog posts last month than I have in one month since November 2016! Here are some of my favorites from June:

L I S T E N I N G // Okay, The Carters album that they released dropped this month is so good! It's not usually the kind of music I listen to but it's seriously so good. Every single song! I mean, how can I be surprised? Beyonce is a queen and Jay-Z is so talented.

E X E R C I S I N G // I've been trying to keep up with my goal to run 3 times a week by waking up before my internship (you can read my fitness update that I shared earlier this month here), but I think I need to look into taking a class or two a week at an Orange Theory or CycleBar studio near me to keep up. Running and doing nothing else (that literally is my workout routine) isn't whipping me into shape (shocking ;) and I need to step up my game if I want to see results or any physical changes in my body.

E A T I N G // In this post I shared what I typically eat in a day, and something I mentioned that I've been loving recently is Trader Joe's Green Goddess salad dressing. Not only does this dressing turn boring salads into delicious masterpieces, but I have added it to avocado toast, dipped salmon in it, mixed a little on top of a burger, and dipped things in it. It's so good, only 20 calories per serving (2 tablespoons, which I've found is a perfect amount for most things), and it's made with real ingredients. Try it!!

B E A U T I F Y I N G // I recently ordered this eyelash serum. I just started using it a few days ago so who knows if it works, but I wanted to try a product like this before splurging on a more expensive version. I have stick-straight, extremely blonde eyelashes so an eyelash curler and a good mascara (this is my favorite and nothing else I've tried even comes close) are my best friends in regards to beauty products. However, because I curl my eyelashes often and wear a lot of mascara, it takes a toll on my lashes and I want to grow my natural lashes so I don't feel the need to do this so often.

B L O G G I N G // What do you think about the new blog design?! I updated the design on Friday morning and purchased it here. It was so inexpensive but looks great, in my opinion. I wanted an updated popular post widget at the top that was a more full-width and slideshow set-up than the static layout I previously had. I would love to hear your thoughts! I also updated my 101 things in 1001 days list that you can check out here.

R E A D I N G // I shared an updated summer reading post this month that you can read here. I am currently reading The Rumor by Elin Hinderbrand and loving it. You can follow my reads on Goodreads here!

P H O T O G R A P H I N G // All of the photos featured above were taken by Koryn, my co-intern and new bff. Her photography is amazing and I can't stop raving about it! You can check out her website here, and follow her on Instagram here if you're interested. Koryn and I have had so much fun doing photoshoots for this blog and I can't wait to do more throughout the summer and share with you all.

S H O P P I N G // I placed my first Princess Polly order this month and was so happy with both this dress (more photos in this post) and this skirt. I've loved their pieces for a few months but was a little hesitant to order from an Australian retailer. However, the sizing is very accurate if you use their charts and the shipping is both free and very fast! I would definitely recommend it and will for sure be ordering from them again-- I love this set! For reference, I also ordered this dress but it was way too short on me and I had to return it (I'm about 5'7).

What have you been loving lately?
xoxo
