Easter / Spring Dresses (All Under $250!)

Easter / Spring Dresses (All Under $250!) - Fran Acciardo

Growing up, Easter was always one of my favorite holidays. I grew up in a family that went to church every single Sunday together, so we took Easter pretty seriously! It usually meant a new dress, an Easter egg hunt, brunch, and sometimes even seeing my grandparents (which, of course, was always special). I have such happy memories with my family on Easter Sunday; I always think of a sunny, spring day, with tulips, easter baskets, and dressing up for church before coming home and enjoying a delicious spread by my mom. It's a nostalgic holiday for me, and a day that I really look forward to celebrating when I have my own family.

Anyway, as I've gotten older, I feel like it's lost a bit of its sparkle... in college, and even now, it's not necessarily a "big enough" holiday to "go home" for, so I don't feel like I properly celebrate it how I used to, although I really wish I did!

This year, I am heading to Paris for Easter, *hopefully*. Since Easter is next weekend, it's creeping up quickly, and with all of the unrest in Paris right now, I'm just hoping we won't need to cancel our trip last minute. If we do make it, we have plans for mass, followed by brunch. I'm going with my friend Katie whose birthday is actually on Easter Sunday this year, too, so we of course have some fun evening plans as well!

While I'm not spending a traditional Easter with my family this year, I couldn't help but round up some pretty spring dresses for the occasion. I picked a variety of price points (including options under $100), but all of them are under $250.

This Week's Top 10: Easter Edition

This Week's Top 10: Easter Edition fran acciardo

 1. Hello and happy Easter Monday if you celebrate! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. This weekend was quite a busy one for me so I wasn't able to get this up on Friday when I usually post This Week's Top 10. Thursday I had dinner with one of my aunts and my bestie Caroline, Friday was my cousin's birthday, so our family when to Tavern on the Green for dinner, and yesterday was Easter so I went to church and hosted a little brunch!

2. I took my first ennegram test yesterday (I did this one and it is free if you want to try it too!) and found it so fascinating. Afterward I read this article about how best to recharge according to your enneagram and definitely took some notes. I am a 7 (wing 3)!

3. I do want to take a moment to acknowledge the shooting that took place on the subway in Brooklyn last week. Absolutely terrible, so scary, and really sad. Fortunately, the shooter was caught, and no one died!!!, but still thinking of everyone impacted by this.

1. Happy Friday and Easter weekend! It's been a minute since I shared a TWT10, so I have a lot to fill you in on!!!

2. I am home in Milwaukee this weekend for Easter and really enjoying it so far. This summer I interned with my close friend Koryn, who's boyfriend is in a great band in Milwaukee, so I went to their show last night. Koryn is an amazing photographer and took some of my best photos this summer (like these, these, and these!)! I am so glad I got to catch up with her! The show was at the cutest venue and I had a great time.

3. One of my roommates (hi Coco!) and our friend who took us on spring break in Mexico are both coming over for Easter on Sunday. I'm so excited! My brother is also coming home for Easter and I can't wait to celebrate with him, my mom, and friends. I mentioned in my Easter outfit inspiration blog post this week that I will be wearing this dress!

Easter Inspiration + RTR Update

Happy Monday! This past weekend I was selecting my next round of pieces from Rent the Runway and got so inspired by the selection of Easter egg-hued styles. I decided to pull together a little roundup of pretty spring pieces that would look amazing for not only Easter, but any spring event! RTR has the fastest shipping, so if you're still looking for something to wear this coming weekend I would totally recommend checking out their available styles in particular!

Spring Dress Round-Up

Being in college, I always forget how many new dresses I used to "need" each spring in high school. Last year I went to my fair share of date parties and formals being in a sorority and having a handful of guy friends in fraternities, but it's not really the same when you live in a dorm and have 30 sorority sisters with dresses to borrow at a moment's notice! This year I am in the market for a pretty dress to wear in London on Easter Sunday, but I've already started getting a few questions from girls looking for prom dresses, wedding guest dresses (jealous!) and other fun events coming this spring. Although this round-up of dresses is majority geared towards Easter frocks, I plan to do another installment of dresses suitable for prom or fancier events later this week or next!

This Week's Top 10

1. So excited to head into New York City this morning to celebrate Easter and my little cousin's birthday with high tea at the Plaza this afternoon (my favorite!)

2. Also geeked to meet up with my girl Sloane for a late brunch- haven't seen her in forever.

3. So everyone probably already knows about the Shopbop sale, BUT, in case you're missing out: it's huge

4. In love with these Soludos, and these wedge espadrilles too (would make a great graduation shoe, and so would this pair of pretty metallic heels).

5. Oh... no big deal. But I AM REALLY EXCITED. I was interviewed and featured in Lehigh's school newspaper for my blog!

6. This tea is my all-time favorite, and I believe everyone needs to try it. I drank so much of it this week.

7. One of the cutest bloggers just bought a house, and even though she's only revealed one picture, it looks like it'll be fabulous.

9. Make sure you're following along on Instagram for my adventures this weekend!

10. HAPPY EASTER! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend with family and great weather. This such a happy day of the year :)

xoxo

Weekend Recap

I hope you all had a lovely and blessed Easter weekend. My vacation came to an end, and my last day of spring break is today. To say I'm not looking forward to returning to school tomorrow is an understatement, but I don't really have a choice ;)

My spring break recap will be up in a few days but for now here are a few snaps from my Instagram to catch up on:

There were lots of delicious treats to be had over break, so much that I'm started to get anxiety over how I'm gonna organize my recap {#bloggerprobs}. I have to say the best food all trip was an assortment of a whole dozen Sprinkles cupcakes... #yesplease.

The best part about Arizona was the views. I seriously don't think I've ever been somewhere that everywhere you turn you can see something so beautiful. There will definitely be more pics of that to come!

Finally, yesterday was a wonderful Easter Sunday. I donned a favorite Lilly dress of mine, and of course accompanied it with a monogram.

How was your weekend?
xoxo
