Happy December! I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving with your family and friends! Joe and I hosted my mom and brother here in our apartment in NYC and had a fabulous time!! Joe made prime rib, I curated a tablescape, and we even made it out to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! The whole weekend was lovely and I'm so grateful we got to spend the holiday together.

Gift Guide: My Favorite Things!

Welcome back, gift guide season! This is a tradition I've cherished since high school and college, when I would spend countless hours curled up on my couch after classes, Gilmore Girls marathon playing in the background, crafting these gift guides for days on end. These gift guides are truly one of my favorite things about my platform; they are a way to share my love for finding the perfect present and getting into the holiday spirit.

I'm so honored that many of you compliment my gift guides year after year. I often create the same gift guides each year, and your enthusiasm is truly what makes me so excited to continue those traditions while incorporating a few new gift guides based on feedback you've shared (thank you!). I am hoping to get all of my gift guides up by Thanksgiving week so we can all take advantage of the sales as they roll in -- so soon!

2023 Gift Guide: In Laws

Helloooo! Happy Cyber Monday! I wasn't really planning on sharing another gift guide today, but there are so many good sales ongoing, and I know how much you guys loved the In-Laws gift guide last year, so I wanted to take advantage. When it comes to shopping for your girlfriend or boyfriend's parents, I find it's especially nice to gift something that feels personal. I love this Personalized Cheese Board and this New York Times Anniversary Book (you can pick the year, for example, their anniversary year or birth year). But, other great ideas are this fancy Rummikub set (we loveee this game), this affordable Fire Pit, and this Wine Picnic Table (on major sale!)

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

If you're anything like me and you still haven't figured out what you're wearing for Thanksgiving next week, I've gone ahead and created a few outfits that I'm sharing here for inspiration! Whether your family or friends dress up, run a turkey trot, or just throw on a cute sweater, hopefully, this serves as some helpful last-minute inspiration!

2023 Gift Guide: My Wishlist

It's gift guide season!!! I have absolutely loved making gift guides every season for the past 10+ years, and this year will be no different. Today we are starting off with a fun one: my personal wish list! I feel like truly the hardest thing to do every year is come up with gift ideas for yourself when your friends and family ask, so I thought it could be helpful to give a few of my actual ideas to get us started. 

I really don't ask for things anymore, but I like to put together a list for inspiration, for fun, and of course, just in case ;). 

When thinking about my Christmas wishlist, there are really two categories I try to bucket things into: firstly, items that I've been eyeing for a while and just don't see myself actually buying, and secondly, items that I kind of need/want for practical purposes and don't want to buy for myself.

I know for me, I have a few more people that I want to shop for, and $50 is usually a good price point for something thoughtful and fun!

Everything I Ordered on Black Friday + Cyber Monday Sales

OMG, these sales. I'm so over it but somehow feel the need to share them anyway. First of all, I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving. I was at the beach in North Carolina with my mom and my brother and it was really, really lovely. I did do some online shopping on Friday and may continue to do a bit today, so I wanted to share everything I've ordered so far + a few more things I'm considering ordering. 

I want to preface this by saying that I don't reeeally plan to keep everything I ordered; I got a little excited, had a couple of glasses of wine, and the sales got to me. Whatever!

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

Happy Monday! I can't believe Thanksgiving is already NEXT WEEK! I am very excited about Thanksgiving this year because I am heading down to Oak Island, North Carolina with my mom and brother. My mom lives in Raleigh now but rented a beach house for the Holiday and I am so looking forward to spending Thanksgiving on the beach in warmer fall weather.

If you're like me and kind of forgot about Thanksgiving until now, I rounded up quite a few pieces and ideas for Thanksgiving outfits for today's post. I feel like I've just been finding the cutest things lately and I am so excited to share these adorable looks for the late fall / early holiday season.

2. When I was in Kansas City a couple of months ago, I purchased this candle from a local boutique. It is the most incredible holiday scent, and the brand is equally wonderful; 5% of every purchase funds Anti-Trafficking efforts in the US. Would highly recommend the candle and supporting this small business!

3. I finished reading The Paris Apartment this week and loved it!! Such a page-turner... it's a bit of a spooky thriller and I was so impressed with all of the twists & turns.

Gift Guide: My Personal Wish List

Welcome to the first gift guide of 2022! Today we are kicking things off with a highly-requested gift guide: my personal wish list.

As I get older, I don't really ask for Christmas gifts anymore, but I'd be lying if I said there aren't a few things I'd love to receive. A few of these things are practical (desperately need a nice vacuum), a few are impractical (Chanel ballet flats are unlikely to appear under the tree), and a few would just be nice to have (my current AirPods are on the fringe).

This Week's Top 10: Tis The Season!

 1. Happy Friday!!! Wow, it has been a week! I had two book clubs back to back this week, followed by my work holiday party on Wednesday, and then a manis/drinks date with my best friend Caroline last night. I haven't had a week like this in as long as I can remember! And it's only getting started- tonight my college roomies Elizabeth and Coco are coming into town and we are going to do so many cute, fun things this weekend. I am sooo excited!

2. The city is looking so pretty and festive for the holiday season and I'm excited to take Ej and Coco around this weekend to see all of the festive decor. We don't have too many concrete plans besides dinner and drinks, shopping, and exploring!

3. I recently got these black booties which I plan to wear alll weekend! They are so chic, very comfortable, and super affordable!

Gift Guide: Mom

Welcome to the Gift Guide for Mom! I find this particular gift guide to be one of the more challenging to put together, because everyone's mom is unique, and it can be hard to think of something she will use and love that she doesn't already have. After asking my own mom for help on this gift guide, and of course, putting Elizabeth to work, too (kidding, kind of ;) I ended up creating this versatile assortment of gifts I think could be great for any mom! I am very happy with how this turned out; I hope you love it too.

Gift Guide: My Friend's and My Wishlists!

Each year one of my most popular gift guides is my personal wishlist. However, every year my wishlist gets smaller and smaller. As I've gotten older, my family doesn't do many Christmas gifts as we used to, which is totally fine, but it just makes for a less interesting wishlist of mine, haha. So, this year I decided to mix things up and make this gift guide way more fun by asking all of my friends what's on their wishlist and sharing those gift ideas as well! 

I love how this turned out because gift-giving really is so personal (after all, that's what makes for a thoughtful, "successful" gift) and I thought giving some ideas from a variety of 23-year-old girls could make things much easier for any of you thinking of something for your own wishlist.

Gift Guide for the Girl who has Everything

Year after year, the Gift Guide for the Girl who has Everything is one of my favorites. It is so fun to make; Elizabeth and I started making these together sophomore year of college when we first lived together, and every year we have so much fun shopping together to create a fun, girly, luxurious assortment of gifts at every price point. 

On Thursday night I flew into MKE and stayed with Elizabeth. We were heading up north Wisconsin after work on Friday to celebrate (I surprised) our best friend Celia's birthday at her cabin. Since we both had slow WFH days on Friday, we online shopped together for this gift guide, which really brought me back to our college roomie days. I love the gifts we were able to find, and I hope you're able to find something you love on here for yourself, or for the girl in your life who has everything!
