May Favorites

please note this post was scheduled in advance, over a week ago, before the protests in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. I am in full support of BLM and an ally to people of color.

May went by so fast. I feel like I was anticipating my graduation weekend for months, and all of a sudden we are already three weeks past it and onto June! Like, what?! Obviously, graduating from college was the highlight of the month. But, starting to come out of quarantine has been great, too!! Things are slowly reopening and we are seeing signs of light at the end of this tunnel! Here's what I loved during May:

I'm working on my summer 2020 playlist! I have been mostly listening to this playlist in the mornings (chill vibes) and then this one for a great assortment of background music.

The Growlers released two new songs in May and I love them both.
Mt. Joy released more songs on their newest album!
The 1975 released an entire album last week.

I recently got this necklace and I love it! I ordered it way shorter than I liked (16") so I ordered this huge pack of necklace extenders (under $10!) to adjust it and now I'm very pleased.

I also ordered this workout tank from Amazon that's literally $15 and so, so comfortable. My mom saw me wearing it and proceeded to order it for herself in two colors!

Everything I read in May is coming up in a blog post this week, but I have to say that I absolutely devoured The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. SO good. Highly recommend.

So, so happy with this greenish-blue eyeliner I got, as well as the Cloud Paint from Glossier! However, almost exclusively I've continued to just wear my two holy grail products, Benefit Goof Proof Brows, and Glossier's Generation G in "like." I just haven't had a reason to put on more makeup than that!

I wrote this blog post on new beauty products + thoughts on makeup in May!

Same as last month -- mostly sticking to long walks and runs outside, with an occasional YouTube workout. I did this workout one morning and was literally sore for days... and I didn't even do the entire thing, lol. Safe to say that I didn't end up doing it again (even though I probably should)

I shared my favorite at-home workouts in this blog post!

Most of this month I was at home instead of at my apartment, so my mom did 99% of the cooking! This meant cake for breakfast like every day (lol), usually avocado toast for lunch, and then something fabulous for dinner!

But, at the beginning of May, I shared a typical "what I eat in a day" blog post for when I'm at my apartment. I just got back here on Friday so this will be my new normal again for the next two-ish weeks.

I made my homemade frosé recipe twice last week!! So good and easy, and not too sweet or too strong! Also, the new white claw flavors are so good, lol. If you haven't tried them yet, the tangerine and watermelon are truly outstanding.

The first weekend of May I went camping with my college friends, then the following week we had a mini-celebration (outside with under 10 people) for graduation, and then in the last couple of weeks I've been able to see two of my best high school friends by having a picnic and then a wine night, both (obviously) outdoors. It was so nice to finally see some of my favorite people again this month!

Other things I've been up to: I've been continuing with online French lessons. I'm still on the basics, but just a few minutes each day really helps me feel like it's refreshing my memory! (shared an entire post on my favorite activities ~for my brain~ here) I also ordered this iPhone tripod that came with a ring light and remote (which might just be the best $40 I've ever spent) and I've been playing around with that a lot. Get ready for more content!!!

What were you loving in May?!
xoxo
