8 Things to Do Before Traveling Abroad

By the time you're reading this, we will have landed in London, dropped off our bags at our Air BNB, and kicked off our first day across the pond! This trip has been one of the few that I've taken in the last few years that has actually been planned for over a month before leaving. My family plans trips in advance, but never actually books flights or hotels (or makes any concrete plans...!)  until a week or two before departure- so stressful, haha. I am so glad I had enough time to get prepared to leave the country for this trip, though! I have been to Europe twice before, but this is the first time I'm coming "alone" (I'm here with my best friend, Lauren!) and there are so many things we had to get in order before leaving.

I Never Thought I'd Say This...

Today's post is one that I honestly never expected to write. If you've been reading this blog since I headed to college in the fall of 2016, you might know that I had a really difficult time adjusting to and enjoying my freshman year, and it ultimately led me to transfer this year to a completely different place: a huge public school in the midwest. If you know me well in person, you were probably just as shocked when I made this decision as I was! Even if you only know me from online, there is a good chance you felt surprised too, right?

Spring Edit

I have been finding so many cute pieces lately that I had to share another round of what I am currently coveting. For once I feel like I actually chose bright, fun items that really reflect spring! I am so used to sticking to neutrals and simple pieces, but I love the pinks and vibrant colors featured here. Of course, I couldn't leave out a neutral bag, some denim, and cool sneakers, but I think we are really making moves here peeps!!

Mid-March Favorites

I hate going a whole week without a new blog post! This month in particular I have been feeling myself slacking, and it's especially disappointing considering I just got a brand new laptop and have every excuse to be blogging more now that I'm fully equipped with a lightning-fast computer. Today I wanted to jump on and share what I've been loving lately, because I did this at the end of January and totally meant to do it again at the end of February... three weeks ago!!!

This Week's Top 10

^^goals...

1. I pierced my ear Wednesday night with my friends using this $10 kit from Amazon. So easy and really kind of fun ;)

2. I am so excited for this weekend. What are your St. Patrick's Day plans?! We are planning to go out all day tomorrow to a few different parties and places. Can't wait.

3. Ordered the infamous Diptyque "Baies"candle and I am obsessed with it. Now I know why it's so popular!!!

20 Easy Ways to Practice Self-Care

It's no secret that the practice of self-care is trending right now, and it's something that I am genuinely trying to get behind. While I'd love to be that girl who does face masks consistently, meditates religiously, and soaks in a bubble bath every other night, let's face it, I'm not quite on that level! That said, there are so many ways we can show ourselves love, and what that looks like is different for everyone. Taking care of ourselves and treating our bodies (and minds! and souls!) with love and respect doesn't have to require anything more than a few minutes of our time. This is a concept I support and really have been trying to work on lately for general well-being. Lucky for us, there are a million-and-one ways to practice it!

Spring Steals Under $70

With spring break coming up and all of the new arrivals in my favorite stores, it's so hard to save my money for London and not buy every cute thing I've been finding lately! My favorite solution... finding a few cute pieces I love at a great price point so I can get excited about new pieces without going crazy.

How to Prevent Getting Sick in College

After being sick for the last three weeks since I got back from New York, I am finally starting to feel back to normal! I don't get sick often, but I have definitely gotten sick more in college than I did in high school, and it all boils down to learning how to take care of yourself. Understandably, it's harder to do that on your own than when you're living at home with your parents, so today I wanted to share some of the things I've learned that are most important to staying healthy in college.

Steal Her Style: Spring Inspiration

One of my favorite ways to recreate outfits that inspire me on Instagram, Pinterest, or other bloggers, is to find similar pieces that fit my own sense of style, and mix them together to create a "me" version of someone else's look.

What's Been Going on Lately

Happy Sunday morning, friends! I apologize for only getting one post up this week, so I wanted to pop in today to share a little bit of what has been going on in my life lately to explain the absence around here. I hate to make excuses for my content and why lately it has failed to meet the quality standards you all deserve, and even occasionally, like this week, fails to go up at all. It's not that I have a million things going on in my life right now, because frankly I really don't, I'm not that busy, and my classes are not as hard as they have been in other semesters. Rather, somewhere in me the motivation is lacking, and for a lack of a better phrase, I've just found it really hard to get my sh!t together these last few weeks.
