Easy Fall Transition Outfit

Although it's mid-October, the weather is still pretty warm here in Wisconsin. I'm so happy not to be wrapped up in a puffer quite yet, but I have had to get a little creative dressing for these warmer fall temps. I'm so used to it already being fifty below this time of year! Introducing: an easy, seasonally appropriate fall outfit idea: sweater + shorts.

Camel Sweaters (Under $100!)

I shared this post on Instagram yesterday featuring my new favorite camel sweater! The one I am wearing in these photos is pretty fun and unique with ruffled sleeves, but if that's not your vibe, below I am rounding up a variety of styles all under $100. A camel sweater is such a fall essential in my opinion; it goes with everything, and it'll never go out of style. Wear to work or to class (if you have the luxury of going anywhere these days!) or just to get coffee on the weekends or attend a zoom call.

Sweaters for the Season

Fall is rolling in and that means it's time to stock our closets with all of the sweaters! Something about fall always sends me into the ritual of pulling out the same pieces and wearing the same things over and over again, like my favorite sweaters, jeans, and booties. Maybe this season I'll expand on my neutral color palette and try something like that cozy pink tunic number or light blue fluted sleeve sweater... but, if not, it would be fun to just try a new silhouette like a lace-up cardigan or off-shoulder option.

It's no secret that I'm a fan of the off-shoulder look, and I love how the trend has carried into colder temps! Living in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, I get to enjoy (insert eye roll) long winters, meaning I pretty much live in sweaters half the year. I feel like off-shoulder sweaters would be a great piece under a winter coat, but also cute to transition for summer nights over dresses or paired with shorts.
