Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving! This year I'm so thankful for so many things... My health, my friends, my family, the fact I made it out of that car accident the other day (ooooops), my faith, and all of you!!

I'm spending this weekend in St. Louis and I am so, so very excited for dinner tonight! What's your favorite part about Thanksgiving? I love spending time with family and omg, the sweet potatoes and pie have got to be my favorite foods on the table!

Christmas Pajamas

Getting in the spirit for Christmas is one of my favorite ways to enjoy the holiday season. For me, picking out some fabulous holiday pajamas is one of the best parts! Snuggling up in front of the tree with a good book, Christmas music, and a cup of hot chocolate can simply not get better unless, of course, you're donning your favorite red and green plaid pair of PJ's!

Just a few of my picks for this season...

Happy holidays!

Snowy

Jacket c/o // Sweater (old, similar) // Jeans // Boots

Last night was a snowstorm. I took these pictures before, um, I got into a major car accident. (#notsothankful) I was turning out of my neighborhood onto a main street to go to the gym when I hit ice and swerved all over the place. I managed to avoid another car, but my entire passenger side buckled in when I slammed into a light pole. I'm fine, but the car is not! Lesson learned.

On a brighter note, I love the pop of color this jacket provides. The metallic silver strip in the back is also perfect for late nights when you may or may not be... um.... trapped outside by an inoperable vehicle ;) I got three inches chopped off my hair on Saturday and it looks so much healthier and feels great!

Keep warm and be safe!!

Holiday Survival Kit

With the holidays right around the corner, I'm already plotting my stress-free plan to make it through the season the best way possible! We're in the home stretch to Thanksgiving and I could not be more excited to get the holiday season rolling! I'm spending Thanksgiving in St. Louis this year with my mom's side of the family, and I'm very excited to see my cousins and do some damage on Friday at the shops.

Starbucks Caramel Brulee lattes have got to be my favorite holiday drink. I tried their new option, the Chestnut Praline, but I just wasn't a fan. However, the caramel brulee is a slight addiction! It's sweet but not too overpowering and it actually tastes like a latte rather than pure coffee or pure sugary syrup!

Hands down the best Christmas music, in my opinion, is by Frank Sinatra and Mariah Carey!! I've been trying to hold back until after Thanksgiving to switch over to the holiday stations, but I've definitely cracked a few times. It's so hard when Christmas and Thanksgiving are so close this year!

Staying warm and staying stylish... My priorities every season!! I have a small collection of pom-pom hats (#noshame) and I'm totally obsessed with this cute one!

Every season my favorite Christmas movie is The Polar Express! I watch it each year at least a few times and it never gets old.

Ahh, my LL Bean boots are a lifesaver! I wear them all the time and they are the most practical boots for the snowy Wisconsin winters I have to deal with!! They are so warm and comfy, in addition to the fact that no water is getting inside!

Fun fact: I love pie! I can't even choose between pumpkin, pecan, and cherry. I'm kind of obsessed...

Nothing screams holiday season more than festive PJ's to cozy up in every night!!

Happy holidays!

Where to Shop for Gallery Wall Prints

Yesterday, Design Darling launched a pop-up shop where you can now purchase Amy Stone's instagram prints! Um, hello best idea ever. Amy's instagram is perfection and I'm definitely going to have to pick one up!

This got me thinking, however, about how hard it can be sometimes to find cute shops who carry chic art prints when it comes to gift giving or just to add a piece or two to your gallery wall! Here's your one-stop shopping guide for prints...
Untitled #369

Amy Stone Pop-Up Shop - Featuring just eight of Amy's chicest snaps from her insta, the pop-up shop incorporates a little glimpse of summer into each picture, making for the perfect glowy addition to your walls.

Note-To-Self - This is hands down my favorite place to shop for prints. A few of the prints shown above are from "Note to Self" and I just think the brand carries only the most classic and gorgeously simplistic prints you can find! I have trouble narrowing down my favorites.

SS Print Shop - Stephanie Sterjovski's blog is one of my favorites to read, and her print shop is just as cute! The reindeer above is just one of the many cute holiday prints you can find in SS print shop, in addition to all of Steph's classic pieces.

Lauren Taylor Creates - Gal Meets Glam's sister, Lauren, has a totally cool print shop. Her prints are unlike anything else, in the best way! I love the unique vibe they give off.

Where do you suggest shopping for prints? Have a great weekend!

Steal Her Style: Interiors

When I first saw this image on Pinterest, I become obsessed. Not going to lie, it was definitely that shot of JFK that got me. Talk about a gallery wall... that picture alone makes more of a statement than any other combination I've seen! I found the source of this pic and entered a totally chic and cute blog, Barefoot Blonde. Umm, another blondie? I think we're long lost best friends. Amber and her precious baby are too cute, and her house is just fabulous on the side.

Her master bedroom is so gorgeous I just had to share it. I've attempted to recreate the look with a few pieces I found online...

Holiday Shop is LIVE

Tis the season! I know it isn't even Thanksgiving yet, but I am so excited to start shopping for gifts for friends and family and to get in the holiday spirit! The cold weather is here and in Wisconsin we've already received our first few snows, per usual. Of course, I couldn't go about the holidays without sharing my top picks with you all for gift shopping. I'm going to post more specific gift guides as the season goes on, but I wanted to announce my Holiday Shop which is live as of last night as soon as possible. The shop will be available for access all season long, and I will keep updating it so you can always stop by for new ideas! Below are a few of the gifts you can see in the shop...

Click the black icon to shop the gifts.

Pop by the shop by clicking the tab at the top of TBP or click the widget on the sidebar to see all of the above and so much more! Like I said, the shop will continue to grow throughout the season, so if you're ever in need of some ideas, you know where to find them!

What's at the top of your list this holiday?

Picking A Sweater For Your Body

If you're anything like me you know how frustrating it can be when you're shopping and everything just seems to look better on the hanger than it actually does on your real body. Well, those moments are about to end. Once you know what to shop for, you'll be a lot more pleased with your results! Different pieces look different on everyone, it just depends how you're built. Today I'm sharing four sweater styles in honor of fall and showing you how to pick which style is right for you.

Untitled #362

Stripes | If you're a little more on the smaller-chested side, horizontal stripes do a great job of emphasizing what's there! Especially with this specific sweater's striped, turtleneck combo, you're sure to love this style on you!

Cowl Neck | For broader shouldered girls, cowl neck sweaters are a great choice. Naturally the neck will fall towards your center, creating a centered line that highlights your body in a way to make it appear more narrow.

V-Neck | Opposite the stripes, if you're a little bigger up top, v-neck sweaters would look great on you to open up your front and show off what you've got!

Classic Crew | Boxier, classic styles look best on narrow shouldered people because they widen you up and make you look very proportionate (that's a good thing!).

Hope I helped!

Currently Obsessed: Thanksgiving Edition

{click the icon to be taken to the product}

When I first fell upon this skirt, I knew I had to have it. It's perfect for the season, and it's right up my alley (hello, wool mini... did I mention it's plaid?). I started styling it immediately and now I'm addicted to some of the perfect products in this outfit. Those earrings? Need. That navy satchel? Gorgeous.

Tell me, what are your current cravings?

Fall Layers

Sweater (50% off today!) // Dress (Similar) // Scarf // Boots (Similar) // Watch

Happy November! My favorite combination... A simple sweater, an easy dress, and a fun scarf all pulled together to form a chic yet comfortable and effortless look.

I had an amazing weekend, and unfortunately it was so busy that I couldn't post yesterday! Friday night I dressed as Serena Van Der Woodsen and my best friend dressed as Blair Waldorf for an incredibly fun Halloween Party hosted by one of my good friends! Saturday morning we ran a 5K together for field hockey, and then Saturday night was an extremely exciting Hoodie Allen concert! I wrapped up the weekend with the annual Mother-Daughter luncheon downtown.

What's new with you?
