Loren Hope Clara Earrings
9/26/13
After arm parties, statements necklaces became the new jewelry trend... and after that, statement earrings.
I am a huge fan of statement jewelry and accessorizing to make a basic outfit extravagant. Buuut, I don't usually incorporate that into my own wardrobe... I don't wear statement necklaces, I rarely put on more than two bangles or bracelets, and I never change out of my big pearl earrings unless I'm not going to wear anything. I wouldn't call myself simplistic, I've just never splurged on jewelry before to try any of these trends!
Oh, but when I fell upon the Loren Hope Clara Earrings, I sort of changed my mind. p-e-r-f-e-c-t-i-o-n-!
Only one problem: which color do I choose?!
What do you think of statement earrings / the Clara earrings? Which color would you pick?

Tuesday Trends: Sparkle Clusters
9/24/13
j. crew // prada // j. crew
I have glitter in my veins, I'm sparkle obsessed, and I am most definitely crushing on this new trend! I don't know exactly what to call it, but sparkle clusters seems pretty good to me because that's exactly what's going on here... isn't a little sparkle here and there {literally} what every glitter girl dreams of?

PS- Another outfit post coming tomorrow!
Collab Post 1: Black Skirt
9/23/13
There are an infinite number of ways to style a black skirt. I think this style especially is so versatile because the flowy look makes it easy to dress up, down, with silver, gold, and everything in between. Black skirts can work for all seasons but are such a wonderful fall staple because it pairs well with neutrals and fall tones.
Tory Burch's Beauty Line
9/22/13
How pretty is everything from Tory Buch's new beauty line?! I'm dying to smell her first fragrance, described as, "Feminine and tomboy. Easy and polished. Floral peony and tuberose blend with crisp citrus notes of grapefruit and neroli — anchored by earthy vetiver." The new scent, noted with Neroli, Grapefruit, Cassis, Bergamot, Peony, Tuberose, Jasmine Sambac, Vetiver, and Sandalwood most likely smells divine and I'm dying to get my hands on it!

3. What always has to be at your desk for you to work? I guess a pencil...
4. What fall trend are you loving right now? (mine's camo print!) Hmm... I'm not super into trends, I usually just do my own thing, but I'm really liking those pieces with the glitter clusters!
5. Who's your blogging bestie? Caroline is my IRL blogging bestie, but Gracey, Sloane, and Chloe are definitely on the list!
6. If you could change where you grew up, where would you change it to? I grew up in Chicago, so I guess that isn't too bad, but if I had to change it, I would have liked to grow up on the Upper East side, duh!

8. What's your current favorite tv show? I don't really watch TV but my all time faves are Gossip Girl and Vampire Diaries.

Quilted Jacket
9/17/13
A fall staple is of course, none other than a quilted jacket. I'm looking for a new one but I just can't seem to decide with all of these pretty options to choose from...
Naturally, I think I'm leaning towards the J.Crew option. I'm a sucker for the classic corduroy collar, and that red is really eye-catching. Buuut, this Barbour option is cute, too, and I can't resist elbow patches or that nova check!
Help me choose!

The season to wear white is officially over and in order to get out of our transition time funk, I wanted to share 3 ways to make it feel officially like fall! Although the weather hasn't changed too much, I can sense the new season right around the corner and I am so excited about it! Who doesn't love fall!?
1: Have a drink // The fall drinks are back at Starbucks and I can't wait to order a pumpkin spice latte! They really do make it feel like fall... I recommend them!
2: Pack the brights // Sadly, it's time to put away the Lilly until next year and start opting for neutrals. But hey, change is good!
3: Try a new scent // Fall is practically defined by it's smell. Try a pumpkin or fall leaves scented air freshener or room spray to get you in the spirit! My math teacher's room smells like pumpkin and leaves sort of and every time i go into her room I'm immediately put into a good mood! Not to mention, math is my favorite!
How do you welcome fall?

Chicago
9/3/13
This past weekend was one of the busiest few days I've had in a long time. After school on Friday I didn't have practice so I went to a friend's house and then slept over at another friends house. The next day the fab four {jBm, eJm, oMa, and I} headed to Chicago and didn't get back until 3 AM for another sleepover!
eJm and I "city hopping"
Lunch at Neiman's
Kate Spade and Tory Burch tweed jackets
pretty details in the Nordstrom wedding department
We went a little crazy trying on 20-something dresses for homecoming
At 11 PM we got a late dinner of appetizers to share at Luxbar
And of course we couldn't resist the lemon berry cheesecake!
Midnight shot of Oak Street
And Sprinkles cupcakes {from the ATM!!!} at a very late hour after our cheesecake and before the ride home :)
How was your weekend?

Happy Labor Day
9/2/13
Happy Labor Day and happy September, all! This should be a fun month considering homecoming is coming up fast {more details on that to come!}, fall weather is right around the corner, and football games are fully underway.
August and October are my two favorite months meaning that I love September quite a bit, and I can't wait to see what this month brings us!

Have a fabulous Labor Day, week, and month of September!
