Small Business Saturday

Is it just me, or did Black Friday feel very chill yesterday? Admittedly, I didn't participate in it at all this year. I didn't feel like rounding up a huge list of sales when I knew I wasn't going to be shopping them myself. Truthfully there was just nothing I needed to buy, and I'm not quite in the mindset yet to begin shopping for all of the people on my list. However, I do want to share on here many Small Businesses that we can support today because I think I would feel less guilty when I know my purchase could really brighten someone's day.

I saw something on Instagram last week that inspired me to write this post. It was something along the lines of, "think how much your purchase really brightens someone's day or whole holiday when you support their small business, compared to large retailers who don't even notice." It was definitely more articulate than that, but it is so true! As a small blogger, every single comment on a blog post or Instagram means so much. I reread them all the time and respond to every single one! So, why would I not want to support small businesses who appreciate purchases just as much as I appreciate engagement?!

Enjoy this curated list of my favorite small businesses (and your favorites too! -- thank you for the recs on my IG story!):

Waiting on Martha // This has been one of my secret favorite online retailers for yearsWaiting on Martha has seriously the cutest curation of home decor... it's like your favorite local boutique all online. Think great hostess gifts, little decor items, and so much more for a home!

Nantucket Print Shop // One of my favorite bloggers, Mackenzie, runs Nantucket Print Shop with her brother, and their prints are gorgeous! It's so hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to choose, this beach print or this cottage print are my top two. Today they are offering 15% off framed prints with code THANKYOU.

Paul Landry Co // One of my Instagram friends Paul started a small business this year with the cutest sweatshirts and more! We recently did a giveaway on my IG and I can attest that the sweatshirts are even cozier than they look!

May Designs // I was obsessed with May Designs' notebooks and planners in high school! If you're unfamiliar, May Designs essentially lets you custom design the cutest notebooks/planners and so much more with monograms/patterns/names, etc. I think we did a "collab" back in the OG blogging days... I love them. They are having 40% off this weekend! They even have phone cases now!!

A Thing Created // This is one of my favorite Etsy shops! I had this phone case all through high school and received endless compliments on it. I think I even gave one away a few years ago! In addition to phone cases, the shop also has the cutest wrapping paper, art prints, stationery, and more.

Shop Riff Raff // A reader recommended this cute online boutique based in Arkansas!

What small businesses are you supporting this weekend?
xoxo

  2. Same goes for cupcakes or even widgets. The business owner that wants to grow his or her company is not going to be baking cupcakes exclusively but also running the business. 출장마사지
