Playlist: At The Beach With You

I made a playlist that makes me want to cry and go for a drive and crave summer all at the same time.  I'm so obsessed with it that I couldn't wait until next week to share it!!! I don't know why I did this (or how), but somehow I made this playlist, and it reminds me of this one day at the beach a few years ago. It makes me think of sand, lying in a hammock, going for a drive without shoes on, wearing jean shorts, and getting milkshakes...

When I listen to it, it kind of makes me want to cry? But I can't stop? It's a combination of country, slow songs, oldies, and some folk favorites... it's so peaceful and beautiful.

Sometimes when I think about summers in high school I get a little overdramatic because life was so good and so simple, and I didn't appreciate it as much as I should have. I guess this playlist just kind of overall reminds me of summers and memories and good times with people I love.

I miss being able to hang out with my friends. I miss doing fun things and leaving my house and driving in the car and actually having somewhere to go and people to see. I know that this whole situation is going to get better... but I would be lying if I didn't admit it is making me a little sad right now.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk! Here's the playlist:

I forgot about "Changes" by David Bowie. Not only is that song just utterly fantastic, but so relatable right now.

Side note: will I ever be able to listen to "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton or "Reminds Me of You" by Van Morrison without wanting to cry? Or MAGNOLIA????

Or... "The Gambler" (RIP Kenny Rogers!) or "Georgia Time" without thinking of Mexico with my best friends last year???

UGH. Simpler times.
xoxo
