Current Style Staples

You might recognize this snap from Instagram about a month ago that I shared in collaboration with FILA. I love a neutral outfit, especially when it's a comfortable one that incorporates a great pair of jeans and sneakers. I'm going to stop saying I hate everything in my wardrobe for a minute and chat about why I love each of the pieces in this outfit.

I find myself switching out my little everyday pavé hoops for a pair of gold hoops when I want to accessorize an outfit a little more. I used to wear strictly silver, but now I'd say I'm more of a gold girl! I love mixing metals and find that gold hoops make for the perfect accessory to an outfit, whether silver-oriented or gold.

Over winter break, I found myself pulling out this tan coat (very similar here on sale for $20! another similar option here) more often than others in my closet because I believe you can never go wrong with neutral outerwear in a classic silhouette. I initially purchased this coat from Missguided for my trip to London over spring break on a whim because I knew it would be perfect for the city. It was pretty inexpensive, and now that I know I love the style, a real wool one, like this one, would be a dream.

My brother gave me this white Champion crewneck (yes, it's mens!) for Christmas and I wear it all the time. I firmly believe that Champion makes the. best. sweatshirts, and you can't go wrong with a simple crewneck. I wear it to class and just to lounge around in. I pull it out at least once a week!

Oh, my Levi's. If you've been following for a little bit, you know these are my most worn jeans. Recently I've expanded my go-to denim selection from these Levi's to now this Madewell pair (the most comfortable) and this Zara pair too. Something about a little bit of distressing, a straight/slim cut, and a medium wash gets me every time. You just can't go wrong!

Last but not least, these FILA's are a new shoe of choice for me. I often find myself leaning towards these over my beat-up Stan Smith's because they make a bit more of a statement, and they go with everything.

What are your style staples?
