The First Gift Guide! Thoughtful Gifts Under $50

I am writing this post in advance and very excited to finally start sharing some of my gift guides. Hopefully, this provides you both holiday inspiration and a positive distraction from the election! I know I am looking forward to getting in the holiday spirit, and one of my favorite ways to do that each year is by creating these gift guides for you. I put so much thought, time, and energy into these each year because it is not only a fun and creative project, but I feel these guides can be really helpful for anyone needing gift inspiration. Honestly, I take pride in being a pretty good gift-giver, so this is like my good deed for the season (lol, I'm kidding... kinda ;) 

This year I have planned for close to ten gift guides, from brothers and boyfriends, to parents, best friends, and of course, the infamous Fran Acciardo "girl who has everything" annual gift guide!! Without further adieu, I am kicking off my 2020 gift guides with thoughtful gifts at a thoughtful price point: under $50!

A SPECIAL NOTE

This year in lieu of COVID-19 and just trying to be a more mindful person, I have made the decision to include gifts from small businesses, when I could find them, and limit any links to Amazon. I chose smaller retailers wherever possible in hopes of supporting small this season!

A lot of these things are super versatile gifts; for example, I could gift literally anyone in my life a subscription to Winc wines and I think they'd be very happy. A nice candle is a no-brainer, etc. Let's get into them!

1. Monogrammed Stationery 

What a simple yet sweet gift. In my opinion, it would be a tragedy if the art of a thank you note or snail mail was ever lost, and I just think if we all give each other a little custom stationery and wrote more letters, the world could be a better place.

2. Boy Smells Candle Trio

My Boy Smells candle is one of my all-time faves. Not only is the scent fabulous, but the candles are so aesthetically pleasing and really fill a room in the perfect way. I love the idea of this trio because you get to try some of their best scents!

3. Monogrammed iPhone Case

I never feel like spending money on a cute phone case, but I would love to receive one! How cute is this monogrammed option? Comes in so many styles!

4. Custom Embosser

I think this is so cool... I'd love to emboss random things haha. like maybe some of those letters I talked about in #1 ;)

5. Glossier Generation G 

The Glossier Generation G is my all-time favorite lip product. I have it in the shade "like" and so do three of my best friends. It's the creamiest, most fabulous lip product I've ever used. The shade is so buildable and yet it looks so natural. I couldn't love it more and I think any gal in your life would be happy to try it out!

6. Maison Louis Marie Candle

I've never smelled this candle personally, but people are obsessed with it. From what I've heard, it seems like the bougiest, most fabulous candle one can buy at a $30 price point. Basically, I need to try it, immediately.

7. Winc Wine Subscription

My best friend had a subscription to Winc this summer and couldn't have raved about it more. The bottles of wine are so cute, and they are actually pretty good! I tried a handful of hers and liked many of them. I think this is a great gift for a friend, sister, cousin, etc!

8. KJP Cozy Cabin Puzzles

How cute is this?! I think this is such a precious gift idea. Puzzles are such a fun and wholesome activity, especially now that we are all stuck at home, and I love that these are aesthetically pleasing.

9. Sequin Funfetti Mask

Well, it's 2020 and there's a bougie sequined mask on my gift guide. Honestly, it's super cute so like, why not?!

10. Spa Box (small business!)

Umm, could this box be any more precious?! It comes in three scents and includes soap, a candle and matchbox, and bath salts all for under $50. The packaging is so chic and I just love this whole concept.

11. Necessaire Body Lotion + 12. Hand Cream

This is such a thoughtful gift. I know my mom and my aunts all looove their hand creams and luxurious body lotions, and I've heard nothing but the best things about Necessaire's products.

13. Bamboo Bath Tray

I've been taking a lot of baths lately and just love the idea of having a tray for my book, a glass of wine, and anything else I might need. Would make a cute gift coupled with bath salts or a bath bomb (both are under $10 and USA-made small businesses!)

14. Holiday Coffee Mugs

I think these mugs are literally the cutest thing ever and anyone would love to find one under the tree... really, from your brother to your random uncle to your grandparents or cousins... I can't think of anyone who wouldn't appreciate this! Just so cute. Love that you can add a monogram too! Plus, M&G is having a 20% off sale right now with code FRIENDS!
