May Moodboard + Mindset

I shared a mood board and a mini-essay on setting my mindset and intentions in both March and April, so I am keeping it up again for this month! Maybe you've picked up on this, but I've been focusing really hard on myself and my mindset for the last few months. This time in quarantine has actually been really helpful for me just in terms of living more intentionally. In March I focused a lot on positivity and "good vibes," and in April I focused on gratitude, which was so effective, especially during a time when it's easy to forget how much we have to be grateful for.

This month I want to focus on acceptance. I want to practice accepting the things I cannot change, accepting that not every day is going to be perfect, and accepting that sometimes little mistakes happen and they are not the end of the world. I love the quote on the mood board for this reason. I think it's so important to remind ourselves that when you remove the context or the thoughts that are placed onto situations, they are just that... situations. They are not "good" or "bad" unless we place those labels on them. Everything truly is what you make of it. If you make a mistake, it's not a big deal unless you make it into one. If someone is mean to you, it's up to you to decide if it's going to affect your day or not.

This month, I have to accept that graduation isn't happening as planned, but it's okay! I can still celebrate at home with my family. And, if we end up having the ceremony at school in a few months, that will be so much fun having something to look forward to.

xoxo

  1. This is such a great idea! I've never thought of making a mood board for the month, but I am definitely going to try it in the future. It seems like such a great way to visualize your goals and truly think about what it is you want for the upcoming month!
