10 (Downtown) NYC Restaurants I've Recently Tried

This past weekend in NYC was the BEST. My best friend Elizabeth was in town and we had so much fun trying new restaurants, shopping, wearing cute outfits, making tik toks, and doing everything of the sort. I thought it would be fun to share the restaurants we tried, in addition to a few that I've tried with others recently before I forget the spots! Enjoy xo

I've organized the spots by neighborhood:

SoHo

Sadelle's - *the* classic breakfast spot in Soho! Set a reminder on your phone to book a reservation two weeks out on Resy. We skipped cocktails and opted for OJ, which was actually such a move, and then ordered the whitefish salad, smoked Scottish, and everything bagels. Would definitely recommend that as the perfect order for two, but the french toast and pancakes both looked really amazing.

Kuxé - a new not-so-basic Mexican spot in Greenwich Village with delicious Oaxacan food! Elizabeth and I enjoyed the birria tacos (with consume) and Chile Relleno.

Lola Tavernayou've definitely seen this on Instagram! This greek spot in Soho is gorgeous with all of the flowers and the table setting. We loved the octopus, bao buns, and trio of dips, especially the eggplant dip.

Forty Carrots at Bloomingdales - Ok this isn't really a "restaurant," but if you want the best froyo ever, head to the Forty Carrots at any Bloomingdales ASAP. My order is the original fro-yo with blueberries and coconut! I don't know what they do to their frozen yogurt, but it puts all others to shame.

Court Street Grocers - a grab-and-go sandwich spot right by Washington Square Park. Would recommend the Ollie, add pickles!

Prince Street Pizza - like, duh! All I have to say is that the Spicy Spring is NOT underrated.

West Village

Rosemary's - you've probably heard of this classic spot in the heart of the West Village! We opted for the boozy brunch because it's a great deal and offers unlimited frizzante (which we both loved) or mimosas, whichever you prefer. Elizabeth had the uovo in purgatorio, and I had the eggs benedict which comes with prosciutto (love). Would definitely recommend both!

Tartinethis BYOB French restaurant in the West Village is very cute and very delicious. Caroline and I managed to get a table walking up after happy hour on a Thursday, and enjoyed the risotto, escargot, mussels, and fries! We brought along a bottle of rosé and sat outside just a block from Carrie Bradshaw's apartment. Talk about goood vibes.

East Village

Pylos - a cool Greek restaurant in the East Village. We ordered a bunch but enjoyed the octopus, whipped feta, and eggplant dip the most!

LES

Kiki's - this grungy Greek restaurant in the LES is not only incredibly cool, but the food and drink are both outstanding. Joe and I went when he visited a few weeks ago and we split a bottle of the best orange wine I've ever tried, and some life-changing grilled octopus that just melts in your mouth.

Coming soon: drinks spots and coffee shops!

What's your favorite restaurant in NYC?
