August Favorites

Happy September! This year, August went by relatively fast, probably because I got up to so many fun things! I spent a weekend in St. Louis visiting my grandparents, a weekend up north, another entirely at Celia's house by her pool celebrating my birthday, and this past weekend in Madison visiting my boyfriend. I also spent an entire week recovering from my wisdom teeth removal, but it went well and everything's fine! I can't believe after almost six months of a global pandemic, this is the month I am starting my job, with no prospect of moving to NYC... I'm intrigued to see how September goes, but for now, here's what I loved in August:

Glass Animals album Dreamland came out on August 7th and I absolutely love it. I've been listening to it all month long, and it's so good. Dominic Fike's album What Could Possibly Go Wrong came out July 31 and I have been equally enamored. My favorite song from that album is Florida, and my fave from Dreamland, if I had to choose, is probably Hot Sugar. Both albums are featured on my current faves playlist, which has been updated constantly throughout the past month.

I loved bringing this little pouch out with me on my birthday, pictured above. It's a mini dupe of the Mansur Gavriel pouch and I love it. I wish it was slightly bigger, but the color is perfect and so is the price, so I really can't complain! It comes in five cute colors, and there's a bigger version on Amazon here!

I loved wearing this bikini up north. As someone with a larger chest, I find bikini shopping so annoying, but this one is cute and it fits well, win-win! Did I mention it's under $20, too?! (I bought these matching bottoms to go with)

My recent outfits are all linked on my liketoknow.it page here

I shared all of the books I've recently read in yesterday's blog post!

I got back into my fave Fresh Soy Face Cleanser in August and I didn't realize how much I missed it. It's so gentle and has such a pleasing, light scent. I also continued using my SiO Cryodrop + Serum, which is fabulous.

I ran out of my Benefit eyebrow tool + pencil, so I got another (this is like my fourth one -- love this product) and opened a Sephora credit card! Let's see how this goes...

OMG YOU GUYS. THE REVLON! This thing is my new best friend... I couldn't be more obsessed with it. I can blow dry my hair in under 10 minutes and it actually looks good. If you don't have this yet, what are you doing?! It's under $50 and the best hair tool. ever.

Well, last week, mostly ice cream and mac and cheese (soft foods only!). Usually, I share my recent discoveries here but honestly can't think of anything I loved this month that's new.

This cold brew maker was a birthday present and I have been loving it. You guys know I love my cold brew every single morning, and this makes it so enjoyable. Much cleaner/simpler/easier and better tasting than making coffee and icing it every morning!!!

Alcohol beverages: I drank my fair share of Aperol Spritz' in August. My boyfriend and I are kind of hooked and made them up north.... that was fun! Other than those, I've been continuing with my go-to, Sauvignon Blanc, and that's about it!

I have been dying to play tennis all summer long, and finally this weekend my boyfriend and I played in Madison!! It was so much fun. I haven't been able to work out in a week or two because of getting my wisdom teeth out, so tennis was a nice way to ease back into exercise... actually, I forgot how good of a workout it is itself, and I am sore in parts of my body I didn't even know could be so sore!

What were you loving in August?!
xoxo
