Going Out Clothes!

Now that I am 21, I love that we can openly talk about going out in college!

At school I really love to go out, which probably comes as no surprise to any of you who follow me closely on Instagram :) So far this year it's been a little challenging to balance work and play, but it definitely hasn't stopped me from wanting to get dressed up and go out with my friends!

I feel like last year I was always wearing a variation of the same thing over and over again, and it's got frustrating quickly. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but I have so much more fun being out when I feel good about how I look, which includes what I'm wearing!

I've never been someone who wants to wear anything too tight, revealing, or cropped. I'm definitely the kind of girl who opts for a t-shirt knotted in the front with high waisted jeans and my favorite high-tops or Doc Martens when I'm getting dressed. My ideal going-out outfit is something that I feel both comfortable and cute in!

That said, I do love an excuse to get dressed up, so I've been on the hunt lately for some more "stylish" going-out clothes to elevate my outfits. I feel like it's so easy to opt for an all-black outfit or really basic pieces when you're heading to bars, but I think it's much more fun to wear something a little outside the box that not everyone else will be in, too.

Below are a few pieces I would love to add to my "going out clothes" repertoire, and a few things I have and already love for going out!

One of my favorite ways to accessorize is with my earrings. At the beginning of the school year, I found these $12 pave huggies on Amazon, and I've worn them every single day since in my double and triple piercings. I absolutely love the look of my three little pave hoops in my left ear (I wear these pave huggies as my everyday earrings in my first piercings!), and I am amazed at the quality of these for how inexpensive they were!

When I want to change it up, I also have these small gold hoops from Madewell that I wear sometimes. I rarely wear larger gold hoops just because I don't like how big hoops look on me. This size is perfect for me! I also really love this chunkier pair.

I have a few go-to pieces I lean towards when I just don't know what I want to wear for the night. I have a bodysuit that is a very similar cut to this one, and it is one of the first pieces I always reach for. A simple, flattering bodysuit looks great with gold hoops, high-waisted jeans or a denim skirt, and booties for an easy, comfortable outfit! I recently got this top from Urban, and it's very similar to the one-shoulder bodysuit option I shared in the collage!

Celia (another one of my roommates!) recently got this shirt and actually wore it backward so the knot was in the front. It looked so cute and I borrowed it one night to do the same! It's one of the softest, most comfortable shirts at the best price.

The black denim skirt in the collage above is the same one I purchased this summer. It's the perfect fit and works well with so many different tops!

What do you wear when you go out at school?
