Cherry Orchard Ruffles

Something that shocked me during the course of my weekend in Door County was simply how beautiful the towns were and how much I had really underestimated Northern Wisconsin. Door County is lined and dotted with leafy trees, stunning marinas, breathtakingly cool state parks, and lots and lots of cherry orchards. Driving around Do-Co kind of feels like driving through an established, civilized forest just because of the inescapable nature around you. Driving around the city, you can’t go more than a mile without passing a marina, seeing a cherry orchard, or admiring the landscape.

As Elizabeth and I were heading out of town on Sunday, we realized we neglected to pick up a little gift for our mom’s and pulled over at an abundant cherry orchard with a market, kid’s activities, and even a few strawberry fields too. We walked through the rows of cherry trees for a little bit and couldn’t help snapping a few photos while we were there!

I wore this super easy ruffled sleeve navy dress paired with my new favorite sandals and borrowed Elizabeth’s little Tory Burch bag to toss in my essentials. I’m now thinking of getting something similar for myself! The tan color goes with everything (obviously) and I’m feeling like the size and style of a small cross-body bag could be very ideal for college parties.

  4. So cute, Fran! And crossbody bags are great for college (although I'm guilty of shoving everything in Barbour pockets or asking my boyfriend to hold it (; )
