Happy Sunday! :: Recent Happenings

Hey everyone! I feel super weird writing a post at 11 AM and then planning to publish it right after... this doesn't happen often!! I mention all the time that I write my posts ahead of time, and then every morning I read my blog like I would anyone else's. So, when there was no post up this morning I thought I would just write one sharing a few of my recent happenings!

1. First, last week for my four-day weekend, it snowed a ton!!! My dad and brother (and dog...) all went sledding and had a great time! (And I had a punchki for breakfast!)

2. Also, I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day! My Dad was out of town so he sent me flowers! I was so happy that there were no red roses as I have a great dislike (read: I extremely hate) for them. (Yes they are sitting on a plate... they were wet!!)

3. On Friday night, my mom and I drove down down to Chicago for my field hockey tournament. Before leaving town we stopped at one of our favorite little restaurants for scallops and mussels!

The scallops with asparagus and roasted almonds were DELICIOUS.

I usually don't care for aspargus, but this stuff was just amazing,

We also got mussels which were super tasty!!

4. On our way home from the tournament, my mom and I popped into J. Crew factory where I picked up a skirt, shorts, and a pair of flip-flops!! Lots of fun! (Also, for anyone who loves a good deal... I recommend going to the J.Crew factory store rather than ordering because there are so many more deals in the actual store!!)

5. Last night I went out to dinner with my best friend (who just so happens to be a boy... HAHA) for hibachi. It was super exciting to see the guy make the food right in front of us!! I took a few videos, but none of them turned out that well... Also, after dinner we made peanut butter cookies at my house and then watched Pitch Perfect all while sending far too many snapchats... Oh, it was fun!
