Easy Ways to Keep Healthy

When I came across WeWork, a coworking company that builds communities to empower people to do what they love, I decided I wanted to share how I keep my space and my environment healthy. Last week I talked about easy ways to becoming a little healthier everyday, and I think another important key step is just making sure you're constantly surrounded by healthy options and a healthy environment! In lieu of the start of a new month, there's no better time to start working towards new goals.

1. Surround yourself with people who only bring you up | If there's one thing that's detrimental to your mental health, it's toxic relationships. Nothing is worse than a stressful friendship that's only causing you drama or pain. Block these people out of your life, and don't feel bad! You've gotta do what ya gotta do, and surrounding yourself with positive people who are truly there for you is so crucial.

2. Surround yourself with healthy foods, and few unhealthy foods in your home | I've found that when my parents stock the house with fruits and veggies and healthy snacks it's so much more motivating to actually eat healthy, not to mention, a lot easier due to accessibility. When you simply don't have access to junk food, you won't be able to eat any!

3. Schedule in exercise ahead of time, and make it a priority | It's important to plan ahead your workouts so you know when you're scheduled to go to the gym or head out for a run. When you've incorporated your cardio (or strength!) into your day, it feels a lot more important and attainable than saying "I'll get around to it later".

How do you keep healthy? I want to hear!

  2. All of these tips are great. I also like to make sure to schedule time for me - it's all too easy to let your schedule get so full that you barely have a moment to yourself, and even extreme extroverts need that space sometimes.
