Camera Suggestions

For Christmas I am asking for a DSLR camera. I think I've decided on the Nikon D3100 for its quality and perfect price. Please let me know if you have this camera or what you would suggest!

PS- How darling is that lady in her white fur in the first picture?!

  1. I super suggest Nikon! I have the D3000. I've had it for 4-5 years now and it's still perfect!

  2. I have the D3100 and I love it! My pictures always come out incredibly and I am by no means a professional photographer. I would also suggest that if you are going to spend the money for a nice DSLR that you take a course about using these cameras. I took one right after I got my camera and I became so much better at adjusting the settings for my location. It is always so much fun to get a new camera!!

  3. My friend has the D3100 and she loves it. It takes some killer photos and it's the perfect first DSLR camera. One thing that you should definitely keep in mind though is that quality has a lot to do with the lense! The "kit" lense or the one that the camera usually comes with has good quality, but not the absolute best. You may end up in the future wanting to buy another lense! I have the Sony a230 DSLR and two lenses for it and I love it. I've had it for quite some time now and I'm starting to think about purchasing another camera as well! Once you get your camera and figure out all of the basic stuff though you will love it.

  5. I'm still trying to figure out the whole camera thing- my old camera was 14 megapixels and I recently bought a $100 one that's 20 megapixels. The pictures come out a ton better, but then I see that $500 one has 14, so I'm not sure what the difference is!! I'm sure there's a few different factors that make the pictures look good but it's really confusing haha!

  7. I have a d40! I got it in 2009 so it's a little old, but I trust Nikon and love it! They're so easy to use and it's so easy to learn all the manual settings. You can NOT go wrong with a Nikon!
Plus, the 3100 records video and has amazing video quality. That's the one I want if I ever had the chance to upgrade!
